In April 1996 I went on another fly-in sponsored by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. This time we went through Fort Lauderdale Exec (FXE-above and right) to Bimini and Andros Island. We returned via Fort Lauderdale Intl (FLL). Again I was just a passenger in another private plane, but I was with my CFI this time.

A few months later I bought the plane from which most of these pictures were taken.

That's not a giant Hershey's kiss above but a VOR installed by the U.S. government.

  

Wreckage like that is a common sight around airports in the Bahamas.
